In an effort to tackle youth unemployment and the shortage of job-ready skills, RICEM and SWISSCONTACT joined forces in a special project. A group of 52 students from Gacuriro TVET took part in this training where they were given a chance to learn and grow by shining the lights on how they can achieve their goals.
The training lasted five days, starting on August 14, 2023. The first two days were all about entrepreneurship, where the participants learned about starting and running a business. They had discussions and interactive sessions to help them think like entrepreneurs.

The remaining three days were about a fun savings game. This part of the training helped the participants put their new knowledge into practice. They learned how to make good decisions and think strategically, which are important skills in business.

As the training ended on August 18, 2023, it marked the beginning of a new chapter for these young learners. They’ve gained valuable skills and knowledge, and they’re ready to make a positive impact in their communities. This is just the start of their exciting journey.
