The Rwanda Institute of Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship, and Microfinance (RICEM) successfully conducted a five-day training on Procurement Management in Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), bringing together participants from 12 D-SACCOs. The training was held at RICEM Kigali, Kabusunzu, from Monday, 20th April to Friday, 24th April 2026.
A total of 69 participants attended the training, which focused on strengthening knowledge and practical skills in procurement processes within microfinance institutions. The sessions covered key areas including procurement planning, compliance, transparency, and best practices aimed at improving operational efficiency and accountability in D-SACCOs.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in interactive discussions, case studies, and practical exercises designed to enhance their understanding and application of procurement principles in their respective institutions. The training also provided a platform for peer learning, enabling participants to share experiences and challenges in procurement management.
RICEM remains committed to building the capacity of financial institutions in Rwanda through high-quality, practical training programs that contribute to sustainable growth and improved service delivery in the sector.
