RICEM is hosting the 2026 Post-Licensing Training on Risk Management for Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) at its Musanze Training Center. This training, organized in collaboration with the Rwanda Cooperative Agency, is part of the DSACCO capacity development program approved by MINECOFIN under the USACCO Automation and Consolidation Project, and in partnership with BNR, RCA, RICEM, and DSIK.
Currently, 53 participants from 10 DSACCOs are actively engaging in the program, building knowledge and practical skills to strengthen risk management practices. The training focuses on equipping DSACCO Boards and Risk Committees with the tools to safeguard institutional capital and client deposits while effectively managing credit, operational, liquidity, and compliance risks.
Participants are benefiting from interactive sessions, practical exercises, and expert-led discussions aimed at enhancing institutional resilience, governance, and internal controls.
RICEM extends sincere thanks to all participating DSACCOs for their commitment and active involvement. Through this training, RICEM continues to support DSACCOs in strengthening governance, financial sustainability, and risk management, contributing to a more resilient and sustainable microfinance sector in Rwanda.
