We were pleased to welcome Mr. Niclaus Bergmann, Managing Director, and Mr. Oliver Schuster, Project Manager, of Deutsche Sparkassenstiftung für Internationale Kooperation (DSIK), who visited RICEM to gain insights into our joint projects with German Sparkassenstiftung Eastern Africa. The visit included tours of key sites in Nyabihu, Rubavu and Musanze, allowing for direct feedback and discussion on the progress of our initiatives.
In Rubavu, Mr. Bergmann and Mr. Schuster observed the use of e-learning platforms in dual-class training, offering valuable advice and encouragement to the trainees. Their presence and insights inspired them to continue pursuing professional development, such as progressing to CMP Level 2, to better serve the community through their career.
The delegation also visited a cooperative that had benefited from our digital financial education program. Hearing firsthand testimonies of how the training had positively impacted members’ financial decision-making and business growth highlighted the tangible value of our initiatives. The success stories affirmed the lasting impact of financial literacy on the livelihoods of individuals and communities.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the future of our partnership with German Sparkassenstiftung Eastern Africa. The visit reaffirmed the importance of collaboration and the power of knowledge-sharing, and we look forward to further strengthening our efforts in Musanze and Rubavu as we continue to expand the reach and impact of our programs.
