An accomplished senior Executive with over 21+ years’ expertise in Social and Development Banking, Financial Inclusion, Institution Capacity building, Turnarounds, and Advocacy with a focus on Economic empowerment.

Served in various Executive positions as CEO, CFO, COO and consultant for MicroFinance, Co-opratives and Banking Institutions. His Development Finance experience includes 17 years in Sub Saharan African countries (Zambia, Rwanda, Tanzania & Uganda) and 5 years inIndia.

Proven competencies and expert in Institutional Capacity Building, Training, Product development, Responsible Finance , MSME & SME, Education Finance, Turnarounds, Training & Mentoring, financial linkages initiatives/inclusion, Social Impact evaluations, Youth employment, Small holder farmers Agriculture Value Chain development, Client protection, Digital Finance,and Grant/Donor Management. Have developed business strategies and set performance standards for five countries.

He holds a degree in Commerce and MBA in Internationl Business operations. He is the Founding officer for Guardian Co-operative Bank, Bangalore –India in 1997. As a consultant of Opportunity International i, He introduced the first MSME/SME and CBS Automation in Microfinance in Zambia in 2003, Also worked along with CARE for a USAID /AED project in 2009, which recommended setting up of SACCO's in Rwanda, resulting in increasing financial inclusion in Rwanda (up to 86%),
especially through Saving Groups in rural communities. Worked along/ trained by Transparency International on Client Protection and Responsible Finance principles. His last postion was CEO for Vision Fund Rwanda till Feb 2019, Vision Finance Rwanda was awarded as the best Financial Service provider in Client protection and Social Impact during his 6 years tenure.

Invited as keynote speaker, Debater, adviser / panellist for national and international seminars, conferences and actively involved in fund raising events.
Currently he is an Independent Sr.Consulant and has worked on AFR’s Microfinance Investment Fund project, AFR SACCO’s Automation project, TA/Capacity Building to MFI’s in 4 countries in Africa for IPC Germany, Consultancy for Feed-the-Future Nigeria Rural Resilience Activity for population affected by Boko Haram conflict in the North-east Nigeria for OI/CRS, Undertook mid-term review of CARE and AFR PROFIFA project of providing Financial Access to Small Holder Farmers and strengthening farmers Savings Groups Project. He is currently based in Kigali –Rwanda.
