The Rwanda Institute of Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship and Microfinance (RICEM) has conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) on the Micro Business Game (MBG), aimed at strengthening the capacity of trainers to effectively facilitate practical entrepreneurship and financial literacy learning.

The training introduced participants to the Micro Business Game, an interactive and experiential learning tool designed to help participants understand key aspects of running and managing a small business. Through practical exercises and simulated business situations, trainers gained hands-on experience in applying the MBG methodology.

Throughout the training, participants strengthened their skills in facilitating the game, guiding participants through business decisions, and linking the game’s practical lessons to real-life entrepreneurship and business management. The approach encourages participants to develop skills in financial planning, decision-making, resource management, risk management, and business growth.

The Training of Trainers is part of RICEM’s commitment to developing a pool of qualified trainers who can deliver practical and impactful entrepreneurship and financial education to communities, cooperatives, entrepreneurs, and other targeted groups.

By equipping trainers with innovative and participatory training methodologies such as the Micro Business Game, RICEM continues to promote practical learning that can contribute to improved business management skills, stronger entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.

The training also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences, practice facilitation techniques, and build confidence in delivering MBG sessions to future beneficiaries.

Through initiatives such as the MBG Training of Trainers, RICEM remains committed to advancing entrepreneurship, cooperative development, and financial inclusion by strengthening the capacity of trainers and promoting practical, learner-centered approaches to capacity building.
